Dacia Duster will also come as an all-wheel-drive hybrid in 2025

The Dacia Duster will get more engine and drive variants by the end of 2025. A new hybrid all-wheel-drive vehicle is to expand the range.

Dacia's CEO Denis de Vot recently announced innovations for the current Dacia Duster at the press conference of the "Car of the Year 2025" award.

Dacia Duster will also come as a hybrid all-wheel-drive vehicle at the end of 2025

Dacia already offers the Duster in numerous variations and variants, but one option is still missing from the range: hybrid motor and all-wheel drive. At the end of 2025, this gap in the offer is to be closed, as Denis de Vot, CEO of Dacia, has announced. For example, an electrified rear axle with an electric motor is currently in the works. This means that nothing stands in the way of a hybrid all-wheel drive version of the Dacia Duster.

This variant should then also be able to be operated with gas (LPG). With the previous model range, you had to choose between the Duster and either 4×4 or hybrid. The all-wheel-drive vehicle starts at 25,690 euros, while the hybrid has so far cost 25,890 euros. However, an electric Duster is not yet in the works. For the time being, an e-Sandero will be built by 2027 to expand the e-car range.

Hybridization with simultaneous all-wheel drive for the Duster also raises hopes for a similar variant in the larger flagship, the Dacia Bigster. So far, this is only available as an all-wheel-drive or hybrid. However, de Vot has not commented on this. Nevertheless, the two vehicles are technically very closely related and such an extension should be possible.
